Local Marketing, sober

Local Marketing is pretty much good for anything. More and more, and more and more, and more: the internet is being looked upon to increase business for even the local. Advertising with local publishers like local newspaper or TV is a good avenue to take with this. Another is to promote your website just by getting your URL out to your local community with promotional products, like pens, t-shirts, beach balls, stuffed animals, 10-speed bikes and dog sweaters. It really will increase traffic which = increased revenue. You really can benefit by using Google AdWords to target search engine users man. It really works! Especially with local products and/or services. Keywords work man., they should be part of your strategy. You know what's crazy though? Let me tell you a little story. Google something sometime. You will normally see two paid Ads from their AdWords network. Below they have the organic results of that search engine. If you want to rank at the top, the cream of the crop, the "my website don't stop" of that, you can’t pay Google to do it. You can only rank there by making your website the most important (according to Google) when some does a keyword search. Crazy town right? Two main factors you need to keep in your head.
1. What website is considered most relevant for a search term? 2. Relevant website content and your popularity on the Internet compared to your competition.
Seems complicated but it's cheaper than paying Google mayne. Optimize your website. Local businesses will understand. Guess who has the tools? Wow, you guessed right! USWeb! You should invest in them. They will help you get to the top of that ranking mayne.
